Luke's first time in the SNOW!!

Luke had a great time playing in the snow for the first time!

Aunt Amberlee bought him a fancy little red sled!

And he was sporting some warm snow pants from Grandma Hudson!

He is such a cutie and had fun in the snow!

I love the fall, the smell of leaves and the cold air...

Amberlee and Lorin were out doing some yard work and Amberlee raked up a small pile of leaves for Luke to play in. At first he enjoyed watching Lorin work and ignored the leaves.

He had just woke up from a nap, notice the very tired eyes.

He then realized where he was and began exploring with his mouth of course. Everything has to go in the mouth!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Luke went trick-or-treating at Novell which was a lot of fun. If we are here next year we may just do that. Lots of treats with little effort. Luke really enjoyed grabbing the candy out of the bowls. We trained the young one well, he would grab 3 or 4 pieces each time.

I had bougt a cow costume after Halloween last year but could not find it in the mess of our storage unit. A little bummed but we decided to get a Pooh costume since Cameron had an adult size version. He was going to take Luke around the nieghborhood but ended up staying late to work so I filled in.

Baby in the Hood

I love this one with his hood up. He kept tilting his head when the hood was on. So cute!!!

Luke is learning to crawl.

I found this outfit and it was a little chilly today so I thought it would be perfect.
He was having some helmet time off and loving every minute of it.

Here is Luke at about 5 months old. He loved to sit in his bouncy chair. In fact, he slept in his Boppy bouncy chair for about the first 4 months because he had a bad case of collic.
He looks so sweet asleep.... but looks can be deceiving.
We love our little guy and feel very blessed that he has come into our lives.

A weekend in the hot, hot sun!!

Here are some pics of a trip to Phoenix we took while living in Tucson. It was an extremely hot weekend.

Here is Luke in some stylin' pool side attire. Lounging around.
Of course being the paranoid one that I am I kept him in the shade as much as possible.
Here he is with Cam in the pool..
This was a beautiful resort. We stayed at the Hyatt in Scottsdale AZ. We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. This was Luke's official first trip as a baby.

Our glorious Yellowstone trip

We decided to take a quick trip to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole before Cameron started his new job. It was a much needed vacation and one of the first big trips as a family with Luke. It was a little colder than we had wanted it to be.

These are the amazing buffalo. Cam still wishes that he could ride one. Not too sure why but he really thinks that it can be done.

Here is Old Faithful erupting. It was actually really exciting.
This is the only family photo that we got while on the vacation. With Luke being so young many times we would stop to see a hot spring or a hot pot and he would be asleep in the car seat. We wouldn't wake him, we would take turns getting out and seeing the sights while one of us stayed in the car with the sleeping bear.
Here he is in his back pack carrier. Doesn't he look comfortable?
This is one of my favorite pictures of him. We did not have a hat and had to buy one for him there.
Here we are at the Bear and Wolf Park. Luke really didn't care about the bears.
We had a great time and I will post some pictures of the Tetons and Jackson Lake lake later on.
Yellowstone is one of our favorite places and we can't wait when Luke is old enough to take camping there.

Are you getting my good side?

Just sitting around with my little boy today and thought I would take a few pictures. You can totally tell this is our first little one.Classic cheesy grin, you can see his two little bottom teeth. He actually has 6 in now but the other 4 are on top. Believe it or not this is his favorite toy. The remote control. You can tell that he is practicing early for control of the t.v. Typical man.
Another cute grin.
My boy is a thumb sucker. I cannot get him to take a pacifier and I have bought and tried just about every brand out there.

We're new at this so give us a break.

Our poor little Luke has been diagnosed with placiocephaly. Basically his head is a little mishapen and therefore requires a helmet. Surprisingly this is not an uncommon thing. I have been stopped numerous times while out and about and people share stories of their neices or nephews having one, their neighbors kid, and many times their own.

Here is the beginning of the casting process which did not go so well.
They covered his head with a cap and then put plaster over it much like they used to do casts for broken limbs.
This picture was taken after the molding was removed. Not a happy camper!!!!
